Just open the door and you're right on the sand and surf. Pacific Lookout provides great views of sunsets, beach and ocean views!

Pacific Lookout is one of the few Florence Oregon vacation homes right on Heceta Beach. Just open your doors and walk right out to the sand for hours of fabulous fun filled excitement. Explore the fabulous Pacific coastline looking for treasures that come ashore from around the world. Relax on one of 2 decks while you scan the waters for humpback whales, sea lions or one of the many sailing vessels that traverse the Pacific coast line. Catch the spectacular rays of picture perfect orange, pink and purple sunsets that others only dream about. At the Pacific Lookout see and hear the waves crashing as the surf rolls up to the beach. This family owned vacation home provides a tranquil place for rest, relaxation and get-togethers that will live in your fondest memories for a life time.

Heceta Beach:

A beautiful long sandy beach that's a popular location for families and leisurely beach strolls. Walk south toward the Harbor Vista Park and Jetty or North beyond the Driftwood shores restaurant for a more private stroll while looking for whales and other sea life or combing the sand for sea shells and enjoying the incredible scenery of the majestic Oregon Coast.

The Heceta Beach Lane County Park is the most “official” entrance to this beautiful beach and located just steps out your front door. A wide path just beyond the parking area leads to the sand and ocean.

Heceta Head Lighthouse:

Situated high above the Pacific Ocean on the rugged Heceta Head outcropping is one of the most popular and inspirational sites on the Oregon Coast; and it is only about 10 scenic miles north of Florence. It is a must-see among must-sees here in Oregon’s Coastal Playground. One of the most beautiful, and most photographed lighthouses in the world.

Since March 30, 1894, from its perch 205 feet above the ocean, this 56-foot-tall working lighthouse has cast its beam more than 20 miles out to sea, making it the brightest light on the Oregon coast.

Throughout its intriguing and colorful past, the lighthouse watched over many attending families, safely guided passing personal, commercial, and military vessels, oversaw the construction of Highway 101, hosted a WWII military outpost and Lane Community College’s satellite campus, and blessed many a wedding ceremony.

The lighthouse underwent a major, and historically accurate, restoration between 2011 and 2013.

The leisurely walk to the lighthouse is a quarter-mile uphill from the inn, which itself is a quarter mile from the public parking area. There is an interpretive center and gift shop with books, souvenirs, and other themed items as you begin the walk from the inn to the lighthouse.

Heceta Head Lighthouse is 11 miles north at Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic Viewpoint. Day use parking is $5 or is covered by a $35 Oregon Coast Passport permit available at state parks.

Parking only available for 2 Vehicles

Birthday getaway!
5/5 stars
We had a wonderful time. Perfect place to stay very comfortable and everything you could possibly want in the kitchen. Short walk to the beach and our pups just loved it. We will definitely be back. Very clean and plenty of towels and bedding. Thank you so much!

Nice ocean house
5/5 stars
Had a very pleasant stay at this house. Spent every morning and evening walking the beach. House is very well stocked and was easy to be relaxed inside and outside the house. Neighborhood quiet and location very central in the area. Would stay there again if in the area.

Design delights
5/5 stars
Pretty much every house you rent comes furnished with everything you need, but imagine our delight when we looked around at the walls. Everywhere artworks were displayed, each canvas unique and fun. The view outside was beautiful, but the view inside was delightful. Come for the view, easy access to the beach, close proximity to a nice little town, and very comfortable and well furnished home, but stay for the art!

30th anniversary!
5/5 stars
30th anniversary, brought our 4 legged girl for a week and had a blast. Amazing home with easy access to the beach. Quiet, clean, comfortable, and well stocked. This place will definitely be on our radar for our next Oregon coast trip!

Pacific Outlook
5/5 stars
This property was perfect for our family. The various sleeping areas worked great. It is so close to the beach and also has a sheltered side yard that is perfect for reading while still listening to the waves. The beach is nice. The kitchen has every tool imaginable and is a fun place to cook. Only suggestions would be railings on the stairs to the beach for us "old" folks and cleaning the salt off the windows so you can really appreciate the view. We were intrigued by the paintings and would have loved to have some information on the artist. We plan to book it again for next year.
