Eagles View:

Stunning Hilltop Log Home overlooking Mercer Lake with views of the mighty Pacific Ocean. When you enter this amazing home you immediately notice the grand open concept with outstanding architecture. The huge wall of windows will draw you in and then out on to the rear deck where you will be amazed by the stunning views. While you're taking in the amazing views you may notice some local wild life like eagles soaring or deer feeding in the yards. Go back inside to relax with your loved ones in the spacious living room with a cozy fireplace. At diner time you're sure to enjoy the well equipped kitchen to prepare those special meals. Gather friends or family around the large dining room table where you will make memories while enjoying the view. At bed time you will fall in love with the large master suite with a king size bed, huge bathroom, and private door to the rear deck. Guests will enjoy the huge second bedroom / loft with an attached full bathroom, king and queen size beds, and their own private balcony overlooking the beautifully landscaped front yard.

Mercer Lake:

Boat Launch - There are two public boat launches, First is about 1.5 miles further east on Mercer Lake rd., watch for signs on your left. Second and slightly easier option, West on Mercer Lake rd to Bayberry rd turn right then an immediate right onto Archer Ln. Launch is at the end of the road, narrow road so best to back down Archer to water.

Mercer is a good sized lake listed at 341acres on the north side of Florence. Great largemouth bass fishing, yellow perch, bullhead catfish, seasonally stocked rainbow trout and some sunfish as well..

With a boat, you can poke around the long Dowell and Dahlin arms and many small coves and points around the lake. There are standing and fallen trees around the shoreline, as well as a fair number of docks, that add to the potential cover for bass and panfish.

What’s nearby: 

This home is a quick drive to multiple access points to the Oregon Dunes and ocean  beaches including the popular access just out South Jetty Road. The charming Old Town section of the city  is filled with lovely shops, cafes, galleries, and restaurants.  You will also be minutes from numerous trailheads for hiking or mountain biking. The  coastal forests flourishing in Douglas fir and Sitka spruce extend nearly to the Ocean.   Some trails wind up, over, and through sand dunes, offering hikers the opportunity to  experience the unique natural wonders of this area.  Take a scenic drive up Hwy 101 to Heceta Head Lighthouse where free tours are  offered daily.  Get your adrenalin flowing on a nearby dune buggy tour or with an ATV rental, or go crabbing from the Siuslaw Bay public fishing pier at the end of South Jetty road  where crabbing is excellent from late spring until the fresh water from winter rains force  the crabs out to the ocean.

No Pets! This home is not pet friendly due to severe allergies. A $250 fee will be added if pets are found having stayed.

Parking for 3 cars ( no garage parking ) with room for smaller boat or ATV trailer. No Motorhomes or camping trailers permitted.

Loved the house and view. House equipped with everything we needed. It is beautiful and relaxing. We were there for a family reunion and it provided a great venue for it. We all agreed we would love to return.

I can't say enough good things about this property. The views are incredible. Every time we pulled up to the house we were in awe all over again. The home itself is very comfortable and we did not want for anything (except a pot holder). It is stocked like a home, not an empty vacation rental. The wifi and the the water pressure were outstanding, the beds were comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet and location was perfect. What more can you ask for?

We have absolutely loved this house!! Beyond beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. Great view of the ocean and lake, very private. The house was very well stocked, immaculately clean, the furnishings are all very upscale, the furniture is comfortable. We have never had a house with better views. We had one question about the water pressure and called on Saturday night at 8 pm. The phone was immediately answered, and our problem was solved. Highly recommend this house.

The place is beautiful, quiet, with a great view. Needs minor repairs outside but they do not detract at all. It says 4 beds but I only found 3 and the upstairs is not very private. The fire place would be grand if it was able to light but no directions on use nor any control was to be found. Asked for directions twice and never got any. Exterior camera placements are a little close to the bedroom windows. Kitchen was grand and well equipped, a Nespresso would have been nice but not necessary. Would be an excellent place for a dinner party (quiet one though). Winter access may be a challenge due to steep roads luckily it’s coast so wet but not too much ice. It was a wonderful two nights. Would come back.

We were in awe of this house throughout our entire stay. So expansive and beautiful in every way. Not only are there views of the lake, but you can see the ocean as well when it's clear! Lots of space in the main area of the house which was great because we were teaching some medical classes and needed room to use our mannequins. The perfect spot for our annual board retreat! The only thing that took us a while to figure out was all the lighting...there are so many switches everywhere and some are a bit hidden!

This spectacular home is situated at the top of a hill overlooking Mercer Lake, including a distant view of the ocean. Gorgeous sunsets from the deck! This home has many special amenities and details - the pictures don't do it justice! Rod-iron faucets, dimmable overhead lights, peaked ceilings and a dual fireplace. The kitchen allowed four cooks at a time and meals came together easily! Antiques and clever decor in every space made us smile. We loved the master jacuzzi tub and both showers had nice hot water, although sometimes pressure was an issue. Plenty of pillows, blankets, board games, deck furniture, hi-speed internet, tv's, and areas to chill. Enjoyed hours of playing games at the large wood dining table with a view! Beds were incredibly comfortable. Family members were excited to watch wildlife each morning and evening, prep meals in the awesome kitchen and sleep in dream beds. Spent time on the lake and visited the beach daily.

If you're looking for an amazing vacation home with everything you need to make yourself feel pampered, this is the place! Just bring your clothes and food. A few things I didn't expect was to find coffee, tea, spices, cooking oil spray, and things like foil and plastic wrap/bags, etc. Although I brought my own, it was a very nice touch! It took me a few minutes to figure out the fireplace (open the doors and look at the lower left-hand corner for the on/off switch), but once I found that, it was wonderful to enjoy a cozy fire! The views are amazing! The soaking tub for two was wonderful! Everything is comfortable and all the extras were thought about. I loved having comfy throw blankets for use along with local guidebooks as thoughtful touches. This was a very relaxing getaway for our anniversary and we couldn't have enjoyed it more! Would love to make this our go-to place every year! Thank you to our hosts! This was fabulous!

What a great location! We gathered with a daughter for a way to dodge winter and have a change of pace. The lodge was comfortable and well appointed. The views were grand and dramatic. Everything worked and was so functional! Thank you for making our December a month to remember.

There truly are too many adjectives to describe this piece of property. The view is jaw dropping and you feel like you're part of a painting. The cabin in and of itself is a masterpiece! We had invited family to stay with us the first week then just the 2 of us for week two. This home has everything and then some. From the incredible view of the mountains, Lake Mercer and the Pacific to the unobstructed view of the stars at night, the deer in the yard every morning and evening, the quick drive down the mountain to Heceta Beach, the quick drive over to the Sea Lion Caves, Heceta Head Lighthouse and Old Down Town Florence. Don's miss Novelli's in the Port, best crab chowder and garlic bread. Florence is a small town that gives you the feeling of stepping back in time with a laid back vibe and the nicest people.
