Originally started as a summer resort destination, Steamboat has become renowned for its world-class skiing and mountain biking options. And your Steamboat vacation rental will put your family in the middle of it all.

Winter activities include skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, biking, sledding and fishing. The city houses two ski areas – Steamboat and Howelsen Hill, Colorado's oldest continuously operated ski area. Or simply play in the smooth, dry snow, referred to as Champagne Powder, for which Steamboat is known.

Mountain biking is huge in Steamboat. Known as Bike Town USA, the city has trails for all ages and skill levels. Hundreds of miles of single track, as well as over 50 miles of downhill and freeride terrain.

** In March 2020 when the resort shut down, we gave refunds for any unused nights and would do that again.

Reviews

Good location
4/5 stars
This property is in a very convenient location. Walkable to ski lifts, bus, hikes and mountain base. It was also easy to drive anywhere in town from here. We also appreciated that each bedroom had its own bathroom. There could be some improvements: there were no sharp knives, the carpet from the garage was dingy, some of the features that were not updated in renovation could use a deep clean, and the main floor layout was odd. The sofas and dining table should be rearranged so that the dining is in the empty space off the counter bar, and the family room is bigger. That said, it served a great purpose and we had a nice time. We did make a couple maintenance requests and they were handled quickly. I was reassured that iTrip was available and responsive!

A perfect unit!
5/5 stars
One of our daughters who lives in Steamboat was married on June 29. This until was the perfect place for our family to stay, including our small dog Leo. The unit was close to Gondola Square for the wedding at Four Points and everything else we needed including grocery stores. The unit was comfortable, spacious, clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed, including an espresso machine. The fresh flowers in the kitchen were a lovely touch. We were also able to communicate with property management to check in early and check out an hour beyond checkout time. Management also checked with us during our stay to ensure everything met our needs. We would definitely stay here in the future!!

Spring Break 2024
5/5 stars
We really enjoyed our time in Waterford #3 during our ski vacation this year. We were a short walk (10 min) to the base, and a quick drive into town. The townhome worked very well for our two families, and our teenage boys camped out in the lower level game room. We cooked in several nights and the kitchen was equipped well for our needs. Thanks to iTrip for making the process easy and troublefree - both check-in and check-out were a snap!! Would recommend to friends and family as a great place to stay.

waterford unit 3
5/5 stars
Unit #3 is a three-bedroom unit with a king bed, queen, and the 3rd room bunkbeds, a game room, and a sofa that can be a twin bed. We were a party of. Five adults and one teenager, it was comfortable. The management company is excellent and very helpful. We had an issue with the fireplace, and they were there within the hour to fix it and to bring a hairdryer that we asked for. My only succession is they can upgrade the bedroom furniture in the bunk bed bedroom because they can't be used both as the top is not stable for a teenager and he ended up sleeping on the sofa. Overall we had a great time and we found everything we needed in the condo.

Great time at Waterford 3 and wonderful support from iTrip
5/5 stars
We had a lovely time during our visit to Steamboat and really enjoyed the lodging at Waterford 3. The place is cozy, big enough to be comfortable, quiet and very practical for all of us and our different preferred types of activities. We were extremely happy to be able to bring our dog as well, he too had a great time! Steamboat is a pretty dog-friendly place and the off-leash dog parks, and hiking trails were terrific. The Waterford location is convenient to just about everything. The iTrip team stayed in touch, was super responsive and we felt well-supported throughout our stay. The lodging is a nice townhouse/condo, it is multi-level with 2 sets of stairs for anyone needing to consider that. It has everything you need, and more, and it was very nice to have a balcony, as well as a garage for our rental car so it didn't have to sit outside when it snowed. The maintenance people were great about clearing snow and ice from the parking lot and areas around the townhouse. We had a really lovely experience. The area is pretty developed, and you don't have that much in the way of views, but the neighborhood is pleasant. All in all, we would absolutely recommend the property.
