Meanwhile, your fellow travelers are making breakfast in the gourmet kitchen or stretched out on the daybed in the sunroom, finishing that amazing book! Ahh vacation! Does it get any better than this?
Cloud Break is the perfect couples or family beach getaway. Let's start with the wonderful water views from the master bedroom, the sunroom, the kitchen and the living room. Then, there's the fabulous private neighborhood beach - soft sand access is right across the street, a quiet dead-end road. The beach is on the bay side of Plum Island - so more tame waters for paddlers: kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. After you've enjoyed a day of swimming and sunning - stop by the outdoor shower. An outdoor shower is one of those special joys of summer!
Cloud Break offers amenities galore! The outdoor space is amazing! Gather in the comfy outdoor living room furnishings - couches and chairs beckon. Interested in a little quiet time - then swing gently in 1 of the 2 hanging chairs. Dinner time? Enjoy cooking on the gas grill and dining at the spacious table - and there's that view again!
Cloud Break indoors is even more delightful than the outdoors! The gourmet kitchen is a chef's dream - all the great amenities: 5-burner gas stove, dishwasher, and French-door fridge with special cooling tray space. The kitchen is fully furnished with all the dishes, glassware and cooking accouterments. The breakfast bar provides extra prep space where the audience can witness the chef's creative genius.
Then, enjoy appetizers and happy hour in the amazingly cozy and calming living room! The vibe and style oozes peace and serenity. Or, watch a great movie on the big-screen (55-inch) smart TV.
Dinner's ready! Then, gather around the expansive dining table with that amazing water view! Plenty of space for the guests and the wonderful meal. Of course, you could eat outdoors - another spacious dining table awaits on the deck as well.
The sun streams into the sunroom, through the surrounding huge windows! Want some quiet time? The daybed beckons for that afternoon nap or reading with your eyes closed. Need to get a little work done? The desk and chair offer a convenient, yet dedicated workspace.
Ready for bed? Then ascend the stairs to the sleeping level.
From the master bedroom, guests enjoy that gorgeous beach and water view! The king bed is comfy. The master bedroom has comfy seating in a chair. Relax on the bench and let the sun warm your back. Watch TV from the comfort of your pillow - the master bedroom has another large screen smart TV. Large closets, bedside lamps, mirrors, and a bureau round out the accouterments of the master bedroom.

Cloud Break offers 2 full baths, 1 on each floor. The first floor bath includes front-loading washer and dryer, as well as a walk-in shower. The sleeping level bathroom offers a combination tub/shower.

Plum Island is a 6-mile long barrier beach that extends south of Newburyport. Most of it makes up the Parker River Wildlife Refuge, which is visited seasonally by nearly 300 bird species.
Walking on a beach across a National Wildlife Refuge, hearing the waves crashing on long, sandy beaches, watching birds and deer nearby…
A walk is a nice introduction to the extraordinary diversity of the Plum Island scenery. Take a walk both on the beach and on the main Refuge road, which offers wonderful views on the Plum Island River marshes and the Broad Sound.
Plum Island creates a nice protected bay which leads to marshes along the Parker River - take a kayak or paddleboard tour through the marshes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Beds are made with freshly laundered linens. Clean towels for each registered guest are placed on the beds. Please bring your own beach towels. Each accommodation comes with starter pack of 1 roll of paper towels, each bathroom will have at least 1 spare roll of toilet paper. A starter pack of coffee, cleaning supplies, and hand soap is also provided.
Items you should bring with you: Extra paper products, beach towels, beach chairs, sunscreen, toiletries, food, beverages, and any other essentials and assundries to make your vacation enjoyable.
- Pay at the kiosk, with cash or credit card
- Pay by phone, through the Passport Parking App, available on these Play Store and Apple App Store.
Free parking lots are at the Train Station and 2 Blue Lane Road on Rt 127.
During the winter, meters and kiosk parking is free. All seasons, on-street parking outside of the meter and kiosk areas are free.
Newburyport Plum Island Public Parking lot is able to accommodate 150 vehicles. This lot is at the far North End of the Island. Enter the parking lot using the entrance adjacent to 278 Northern Blvd, Newburyport, MA 01950. Entrance through Reservation Terrace will not be permitted and any vehicles found entering there are subject to fines and towing.
Non-Resident fees: are Weekday $15, Weekends & Holidays $20
Newburyport Resident (w/ sticker) fees are: Weekday $15, Weekends & Holidays $12
Note: If you arrive before the lot attendant is on duty, an envelope will be placed on your car and your information will be recorded. You can pay the price on the envelope when exiting the lot or simply put your payment in the envelope and add a stamp and mail it to our office. Failure to pay an envelope within two weeks of parking will result in additional fees and potentially a citation.
Privately Owned Plum Island Parking is located at center island at 26 Plum Island Turnpike, Newbury, MA 01951 Fees vary on the season $5-$25 for the day. This is a 2 minute walk to the ocean beach.
Privately Owned Public Parking, with lift gate, is located just around the corner, going north of Plum Island Parking. Fees vary on the season $5-$25. This is a 1 minute walk to the beach
The Cottage (convenience store)- 14 Plum Island Turnpike provides beach parking from $5-$25 depending on the season. Go inside The Cottage to pay and get a ticket.
Parking Lot 1 - located inside the Refuge - Fee is a daily rate or get a $20 season pass (best deal). This lot may be closed in the summer when the Piping Plover's are nesting.
Note: There is no parking on any residential Plum Island streets. Please do not park in the Georgie Peorgie's At The Beachfront parking lot located at Center Island - this is reserved for Newbury residents only, with parking permits.
Guests are expected to honor our House Rules to be Good Neighbors and Respectful Visitors.
Good Neighbors honor the right of Cloud Break’s neighbors to peacefully enjoy their homes. iTrip North Shore's guests will:
- Respect Quiet Hours: Quiet Hours are dictated by local rules and ordinances. Unless specified otherwise, quiet hours are between 10PM and 8AM.
- Not Host Events or Parties: without express written approval from iTrip North Shore, do not host any parties or events.
- Follow the Law: do not do anything illegal.
- Respect Boundaries: Do not encroach into the neighbors’ space, including but not limited to yards, gardens, decks, patios, and parking spaces. Do not use neighbors’ amenities or take neighbor’s property, such as: furniture, grills, pools, spas, etc.
- Follow Parking Instructions: Please follow all parking instructions and only use those spaces allotted to Cloud Break.
- Prudent Use: instructions on how to use appliances and amenities are provided. Please use all items for their intended purpose and per instructions. Please contact iTrip Vacations North Shore Massachusetts if you have any questions.
- Be Neat and Caring: please do pick up after yourselves; put trash and recycling in proper bins, do the dishes, use coasters, and leave the furniture where it belongs.
- Park in Designated Areas: Please do park in driveways, parking pads and garages. Please do not park on lawns or in gardens.
- Do Not Smoke or Vape: smoking or vaping of anything: cigarettes, pipes, cigars, or marijuana, requires special remediation to remove the aroma.
- Do Not Tamper with Safety Sensors: iTrip North Shore homes come equipped with a variety of safety sensors, such as: exterior cameras, noise monitoring, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and more. Respectful guests do not tamper with the owner's safety sensors.
- Be Careful: where there are wet area amenities such as waterfronts, docks, pools, or hot tubs, please take care to secure the areas and take appropriate precautions.
- Return Keys/Passes/Remotes: please return items as described in Check-out instructions.
