Enjoy premiere accommodations in this large beach house which features two independent floors of living space and a huge rooftop deck, all within a 2-4 minute walk to the sand! Castillo del Sol welcomes you with two driveways for extra parking space, beautiful, tropical landscaping, and Spanish architecture. Inside, two floors each offer two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, full kitchens, and separate living areas and balconies, allowing large families and friends to spread out and enjoy privacy while vacationing together. Best of all is the 1000 square foot, lighted rooftop deck with pergola, and both dining and restful seating spaces where you can watch direct ocean-view sunrises with a cup of coffee in the mornings, and gather around with family in cool evenings for sunsets, stargazing and chatting about the adventures of the day. Soak up the warm sun rays in the afternoons on the rooftop, or on the beautiful beach, just a very short walk away. The walk-on access is located only one 250 ft. from the house, and drive-on access is one block down the street.

The house comes fully stocked with kitchen supplies so that you can cook "at home," along with soft bath and beach towels, and crisp bed linens. Castillo del Sol is located on breathtaking, wide St. Augustine beach. Healthy dunes and foliage create a perfect place for spotting all kinds of wildlife. Watch for gopher tortoises along the beautiful path to the beach and dolphins swimming offshore! Enjoy a number of fine restaurants, plenty of bars, and local attractions and parks all within a few minutes' drive.

**PET POLICY: Only small, non-shedding dogs are permitted, and must be approved by management PRIOR to booking. You must inquire with the number, weight, and breed to get approval before you book as some breed and size restrictions apply. A pet fee will be required upon approval. For your safety, the weight limit for bunk beds is 100 pounds.

We hope you enjoyed your stay! Check Out Time is at 10:00 AM! But before you leave, be sure to:
 

  • Please empty the refrigerator.

  • Place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start the cleaning cycle.

  • Please do not strip sheets but leave beds unmade.

  • Pile all dirty towels in the bathroom or laundry room.

  • If you have rearranged any furniture or placed any items out of sight, please put them back as they were when you arrived.

  • Please be sure to collect all of your belongings.

  • Please remove all trash and place it in the respective trash recepticle. 


*Please be considerate of the check out time since the cleaners need to get in to prepare the property for the next guests. A delay in check out will result in a charge of additional fees. Thanks so much and we hope you will come again soon!

MAINTENANCE

Please report any maintenance needs for the premises to the us and we will respond as quickly as possible. Refunds will not be made for maintenance issues including, but not limited to heating and air conditioning, appliances, televisions, and stereos.  Check out instructions as provided must be complied with. 

HOLD HARMLESS

Tenant and all other occupants willingly occupy these premises.  In exchange for being allowed to occupy the premises, Tenant, on behalf of himself, his heirs, assigns, and descendants, agrees to the fullest extent permitted by law, to release and forever discharge  iTrip or the Owner from any and all injuries, costs, damages, loss, death, or other claim or injury suffered of any nature whatsoever arising out of Tenant’s own negligence or gross negligence; the negligence or gross negligence of  the Owner or iTrip or any of its employees, managers, principals, owners, representatives, agents, authorities, leaders, or other person affiliated with it in any way; and the negligence or gross negligence of any other occupant in connection with the stay whether that be prior to, during, or immediately after the stay. By agreeing to these terms, and in exchange for being allowed to stay on the premises, you further agree that you will indemnify iTrip and the Owner and hold iTrip and the Owner harmless for any and all injuries, costs, damages, loss, or other claims made by all other occupants other than yourself arising out of or in any way caused by your actions undertaken in the course of your stay on the premises. Tenant understands that he/she does not have to stay on the premises and that without agreeing to these terms whereby he/she chooses voluntarily to waive any liability of iTrip and the Owner under the above terms, he/she will not be allowed to stay on the premises.

If your property shares a common indoor or outdoor space, please be respectful of the other tennants in conduct and language.

For pet friendly properties, pets must be approved prior to booking.  Request approval with number, size and breed.  A pet fee and/or pet deposit will apply.  Do not leave dog unattended in house unless in kennel. If your dog is interrupting the neighbors with any barking or noise, the dog will have to be removed and there will be a fine of $250. If you bring a pet to a non-pet friendly property, you will be subject to our $500 fee for house rule violation!

We love Castillo del Sol! This beach rental is spacious and beautiful. The rooftop sunrise views are absolutely stunning. If you like to cook, the modern, well equipped kitchen is also a plus!

ITrip was great to work with. We had reported battery out on our key lock. They were quick to come fix the issue and brought us more chairs for beach without question. The home was clean and stocked fully in kitchen and linens for our stay! Will use iTrip again!!

Gorgeous Beach!

We loved the beach and super close proximity this house offered! It's a wide, clean beach with plenty of room to play or chill. We were able to boogie board all day! The house was definitely clean and well-appointed. We had plenty of towels, dishes, cooking utensils, etc. Itrip was a great host, leaving notes on where to find items and even coupons. Our check-in and check-out were super smooth. If planning to stay here, you need to understand that the lower level and upper level are completely separate from each other- you can only access the upstairs by using the outside steps. This means 2 kitchens, though! It also has some curious design aspects and is ready for some updates (nothing major or causing problems for us). The rooftop deck is fantastic for both sunrises and sunsets! Overall, our family had a lovely vacation here and we look forward to returning to this area in the future!

It was the best!

We had such a great time staying in this beautiful home away from home! It was great for our family of 9. The kids loved the fenced in front yard, We loved that we didn’t have to worry about them getting near the street. The fence was also great because our pup had a place to play as well. We loved the rooftop at night. We had everything we needed and customer service was fantastic. The location was perfect. Great access to the beach and restaurants. We would definitely book this home again!

Great for 2 Families

We had a great stay. The accommodations were great for two families with kids to be together but have separate space. We thought we’d enjoy the rooftop view the most but really the gated courtyard was our favorite hangout spot in the shade and with a little grassy spot for the kids to play. The beach access is so close (just wear shoes bc the sand is hot and sand burs!) I think this beach is one of FL’s best kept secrets- it felt like we had the place to ourselves with such wide open space and the little tide pools are perfect for the smaller kids that didn’t want to play in the waves. Check for rocket launch timing from Cape Canaveral- we were able to see one at night and in the morning. Such a cool thing to witness!

Absolutely beautiful home and location! Great place for a family vacation, especially on a holiday, quaint and quiet beach house, one block from the beach, which is pristine. You can drive on it or walk for enjoyment. Family friendly. Very close to downtown Saint Augustine. Had an amazing fun and stress-free trip. Highly recommended. Five star rating all the way! Plenty of parking.
