I love this house so much! This was the second time I've rented it for one of my retreat groups and it really is prefect for our needs. It's so beautifully decorated and just really comfortable and cozy. The large dining room table and well-equipped kitchen is key. The location is in a lovely historic neighborhood and is super walkable to all of downtown's attractions. I do have two tips for those bringing groups: be sure to bring extra toilet paper and also earplugs, as we did run into some noise issues in the mornings coming from the warehouse next store.

The house was impeccably clean and had all the right touches to complete our stay. Thank you for your hospitality... looking forward to visiting again sometime. Marcy

Albert Family’s Reunion
5/5 stars
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Belle Femme. A couple minor issues were immediately resolved to our satisfaction, thanks to the quick, friendly and professional responsiveness of our lovely hostess, Lianne. The property was Definitely as advertised.. a lovely historic old home. As an improvement for future guests, I would recommend an improved supply of toilet paper. Even though it was advertised as such, One roll per bathroom for 12 guests is a bit too conservative. I am a frequent user of vacation rental properties all over the IS and internationally, and have never had less than an unlimited supply of TP. Cheap and a nice convenience(necessity) for guests. I would also recommend portable or window air conditioners for the main living areas. Thanks again Lianne Mike

Pleasant stay
5/5 stars
Belle Femme was a gorgeous, historical home in the thick of Salem. Liann was present upon arrival and took care to have repairmen in while we were at a family affair. We had 12 family members in town for a wedding and could not have been happier with our stay. Liann also let some of our group in early to drop off wedding favor bags and a birthday cake prior to check in. It was a dream to book and stay. I highly recommend for large groups.

Very nice accommodations
4/5 stars
This historic home was just what we needed for our family and thoughtfully prepared. We were here for our daughter’s wedding and found the space great for a large group for wedding preparations. The kitchen was very well equipped with quality amenities. There was a large dining table and lots of seating. This is not a place for anyone with difficulties with stairs or stepping in and out of a claw foot tub for bathing. The 6 bedrooms were spacious and most had portable air conditioners. It was a nice walk to some nice restaurants and downtown. Several large umbrellas were placed by the front door. There is limited parking for smaller vehicles but street parking was a several minute walk for the rest. We would stay here again.

Bachelorette Weekend
5/5 stars
Absolutely amazing trip! Friends and myself surprised my sister for her bachelorette party. She has wanted to go to Salem forever. The house is beautiful, right in town, and had plenty of room for our group of 10. I recommend the Spellbound ghost tour (18+) as well as the Adriatic restaurant in town. What a great trip!

Belle Femme -- clean and comfortable in December 2018
5/5 stars
Our party of 9 enjoyed our 3-night stay. Everything was super clean, the beds were comfortable, and we liked the furnishings. We had fun trying out a working record player to play holiday music on vinyl records! We cooked several meals and there were plentiful dishes, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. (Only missing items we noticed- a large casserole dish and a large serving platter). The steps in this house are steep -- may not be ideal for young children who are not fully competent on steps or those with mobility challenges -- but it was fine for our group with older kids. The location is convenient for touring in Salem. There was some unloading dock noise early one morning from an adjacent commercial building, but it could only be heard in one of the six bedrooms. Overall, thumbs up. We would stay at this rental house again.
