This is a great place to stay. Very big, Spotlessly clean, beds are super comfy and kitchen has everything. Each room is a suite. We had a very enjoyable stay. The backyard is also very nice. 1.5 mile from the most wonderful shopping area mashpee commons. Lots of wonderful restaurants and shops.

We were in the house over the week after Christmas thought the Friday after New Year’s Day 2025. The house was fine but felt less homey than other locations we have rented. The location is a good base from which to see the Cape. Some of the comfort issues we had with the property are: Even though the title of the location was “4BR Mashpee Retreat with fireplace”, the amenities detail “fireplace”, and there are pictures of the fireplace lit, fireplaces did not work. When we contacted the management company the first response was “Unfortunately the fireplaces cannot be used.” After pointing out that the description explicitly included fireplaces, they said they would contact the owner and be back shortly. We never got another response. Other minor items that took the shine off the property in no particular order were: • There are stains on the carpets in the three upstairs bedrooms. • The ceiling light bulbs in master bedroom need replacing. • Master bath central ceiling light bulbs flash when on. • There are gauges in the wood around the door set and strike plate on the door between the garage and the kitchen. • There is only one extra blanket for the whole house. • There are no kitchen towels. • Some of the cups and plates have chips. • Teflon on at least one of the pans is heavily scratched. Finally, at other properties There was a book with instructions on how to use things in the house, where things were located, and things to do in the areas. There was no such book provided and when we contacted the management company, they said it had been damaged and not replaced. These items should have been provided or repaired prior to arrival for a nightly cost exclusive of taxes.

We stayed here for our daughter’s wedding at New Seabury. The house was large enough for everyone to have their own space. It was close to shopping and dining. I would stay here again.
