Frequently Asked Questions

Please keep A/C temperature above 70F for optimal comfort. It is recommended to set it at 72F. Remember to keep doors and windows closed to maintain a cool home and keep bugs out. Fridges may take 24 hrs to cool when loaded after cleaning.
Please be aware & mindful that there are alligators throughout the fresh water areas of Charleston, SC. You should assume that there is an alligator in every pond, lake & fresh water river.  Please do not allow small children or dogs near the edge of these fresh water areas.  DO NOT feed or taunt the alligators!
All of iTrip Hilton Head Properties have both a drip and Keurig coffee maker. Each property will have kitchen towels, dish clothes, hot pads and starter supply of soaps, detergents, paper products and trash bags intended to only last a few days. Each bedroom and bathroom will have sheets & towels already on the beds, soaps and shampoos and a hairdryer for your use.
We get asked about Palmetto Bugs all the time. They can be pretty big, can fly and will scurry around the floor but they are largely harmless. They do occasionally come inside, especially at night and during or after any storms. Rest assured all of our homes are professionally treated at least quarterly for pests. Any bugs that manage to get inside will die quickly.

According to Eric Benson, Ph.D. professor and extension entomologist at Clemson University “It has nothing to do with cleanliness or the economic conditions of the area,” said Benson. “They could be around the nicest home or the nicest hotel or resort.”

If you leave the doors or windows open, especially at night, you will likely see a few. This is perfectly normal. If you see 20 or 30 all in one place then please let us know. This might mean we have a nest somewhere in the home and we'll need to get pest control out to take care of it. This is extremely rare!

Please don't worry about bugs, enjoy your vacation. You'll likely not see any while you are here, we just include this note so you understand it's not unusual to see some and it doesn't mean the home isn't well looked after!
We may have more availability than shown on our A i r b n b calendar. Reach out and ask if you are interested in booking one of our properties.
Most community pools remain open from March through October but this does vary by resort and is subject to maintenance schedules and emergency closures for health reasons. Please contact us to see if the pool will be closed during your fall or winter vacation.

We do not manage any of these community pools and are not responsible for management of them. We do not provide refunds for pool closure.

Quiet Relaxation
5/5 stars
Loved the layout of the home. A large family of differing ages can spread out into the living and two dining areas on the same floor for activities such as games, puzzles, reading and watching tv when not enjoying a day at the beach nearby. Lots of room for 11.

Thank you for staying with us! We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your vacation and that the rental met your needs. We hope to see you again soon. Steven, iTrip Hilton Head

Great time in Paradise even with Tropical Store Debby
5/5 stars
My family and I had a great time (6 adults and 5 children) this past week even through Debby. The house was very spacious and a short walk to the beach. We had only one minor issue with a ceiling fan but within a very reasonably short period of time it was working just great. The only very very minor issues was the hose outside the garage was maybe 1 1/2 feet long with no sprayer which was very difficult to clean sand off of anything. The provided bathroom towels were worn and the large bath towel was not large at all. The final concern was in inability to use the garage. With the storm there was a lot of potential for flooding and with three cars it would have been nice to use the garage. As I said, these issues were very minor and I would return without hesitation. The best part of the house was that there were 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms!!

Great House for Family Vacation
5/5 stars
We had a group of 9 that included a toddler through senior citizens and the house worked perfectly. It was well equipped for all our needs. The location was great having only a 5 minute walk to the beach. The wagon, chairs, and other beach supplies were helpful because half of our group flew and half drove. The gathering spaces in the house were perfect for catching up with family. We were happy to have a very nice grill and appreciated the spare propane tank. Overall great for families of all ages with the nice walkways and neighborhood with quiet hours.

Place was even bigger in person. Easy walk to the beach. No problems at all with communication.

Beautiful well equipped house
5/5 stars
This home was well appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need in terms of cooking equipment. A very lovely location with mature trees and lots of birds and wildlife. The walk to the beach took us at least 10 minutes probably because we had a small child And some senior citizens. There were thoughtful touches such as nightlight in every bedroom and bath. Of course the beaches were absolutely wonderful. The rental company was easy to work with. All in all and excellent rental house.

Great place to stay
5/5 stars
We booked this house for my daughter’s senior trip. We had 9 people stay comfortably. I would say the house has all the things needed in the kitchen. You need to be prepared to purchase laundry and dish soap as they only provided 1 pod for each. We also purchased toilet paper and paper towels. There were enough towels for all of us, we did so loads of towels a couple of times during our stay. The beds are pretty firm so if you are used to soft beds this may not be the place for you. It is a very short walk to the beach. They also have chairs and boogey boards in the garage. You will have to supply your own beach towels. The resort is beautiful and has lots of things for you to do; pickle ball, tennis, golf, bikes, etc… the general store is convenient but pricey. We paid $18 for sunscreen and $22 per beach towel. The parking passes are a must. We ran into an issue with those. We misunderstood the email stating you get one per bedroom all sharing the same QR code. So we expected 4. Well if you don’t tell them you need more than 1 that is all you get. So specify to them the number of parking passes you need or the FBI that guards the gates will not let you through. 😉 We would most definitely stay here again. It is a great house we had a blast. Ages in our party ranged from 15-65.

Family Vacay
5/5 stars
We went on a family vacation and we enjoyed our stay here. We were a group of 9 and we had more than enough space for everyone to be comfortable. There were a few issues such as the garbage disposal not working, the back door doesn’t lock, and one of the TVs in the bedroom didn’t work but other than that, the stay was great. The walk to the beach is longer than 4 mins (possibly because of wagons and a young child) but not a deal breaker. I would definitely recommend this house.

Perfect Home for All Families
5/5 stars
We stayed at 53 Sea Lane over the Thanksgiving holiday and to celebrate my baby's first birthday. We were able to VERY comfortably sleep 4 different families, have three meals a day and not feel on top of one another at all. The space is endless and the loft/rec room/tv lounge upstairs was a perfect way to still enjoy each other and not wake up the little ones. Each bedroom (and the loft) had its own bathroom which was essential to keeping everyone happy. There is great outdoor space and the access to the beach was very easy. You are definitely taking a 5 minute walk, but it is worth it. From start to finish, booking was easy and the communication was great. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and not at all stressful. We had a few hiccups at the house that were resolved immediately. Peter even came by to check on the garage door and the ice machine. We were really appreciative of the professionalism and care from the team. I would note that the owners had a pet, even though it is a pet-free rental. As a result, there was quite a bit of pet hair in the carpet and on the couch in the living room. Peter responded quickly and sent the cleaners back again immediately, but if you have allergies and are specifically seeking a pet-free home, this may not be the ideal rental. I have a feeling they are working to resolve this, so it likely won't be an issue in the future. I hope we can stay here in the future and we absolutely would book with Low Country Coastal Rentals again!
