Great week at the beach
5/5 stars
We had a great stay in the house. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. Everything was there to cook and relax. The layout is nice and open. Close to the beach and boardwalk. We will be back.

Great place for a family vacation
5/5 stars
This was the second year my family of 10 plus dog stayed here. It is the perfect location for us--2 1/2 block walk to the beach, 5 block walk to downtown, 3 blocks to the park, easy place for kids to ride bikes. We like the quiet neighborhood streets lined by large shade trees. The house has enough room for everyone also. There was space for kids gaming, music making, and a lovely outdoor patio. The kitchen has all the basics needed. The house was clean and neat when we arrived. I liked the new refrig and stove. The first floor bedroom worked well for the grandparents! We hope to go back next year.

Great house, difficult management
2/5 stars
The house was exactly as advertised. Great location, accurate listing. The two stars reflect a number of communication problems with the management team. I rented through VRBO (I didn't know that itrip was involved until later). The listing on VRBO indicates that pets are welcome, but that rates and permission will only be provided after a reservation is made. I made a reservation in January, included the requested details about the size and type of pets, and requested pricing and other details. I just rechecked VRBO, and that message is still setting in there with no response. I was able to get an answer to this question, eventually, in May by following up outside VRBO. Again, to be clear, I made the reservation on VRBO so it is reasonable to expect responses to messages included in that reservation. Second, there were some noise issues at the house early in our stay. Unfortunately, although the manager told me that he received complaints on the first night, he didn't let us know until a second incident on a different day. And when he did, he was brusque and unhelpful. On the first day, we were absolutely at fault -- the noise was after the quiet hours listed in the house rules which also happen to be the municipal quiet hours. We had gotten the kids inside the house by quiet hours, but they went back outside much later and disturbed a neighbor. That was absolutely our fault. On the second occurrence, however, the house was entirely empty by quiet hours except for one person watching Nature on TV in the living room. Everyone had cleared out specifically to avoid disturbing the neighbors after quiet hours. The house manager let us know there was an issue by text (I was out walking the dog), we responded right away, verified that there was no noise going by communicating with the one person who was home. And we verified that any noise that had been going on had stopped at least 20 minutes before the beginning of the house/municipal quiet hours. We asked follow up questions in the text thread to verify that the communication was related to the rental, and not our home, to which the manager did not respond at all. It would have been helpful to receive that verification, since the possibility of a noise complaint at our house is also a possibility and the manager did not identify himself in his text message. The next day, the manager called. He was completely unwilling to give us any advice about what quiet hours we should follow since completely emptying the yard and house before the posted ones begain had still resulted in a second noise complaint. He was completely unwilling to provide any advice based on his long experience managing this property and others as to what steps we could take other than following the house and municipal rules that would keep the neighbors from feeling it necessary to complain to him or call the police. The manager did verify at the end of the stay that there were no more complaints after that conversation. It would have been immensely helpful if the manager had let us know when he received the first complaint, rather than waiting until the neighbor felt it necessarily to complain again (before quiet hours had even started). And it would have been immensely helpful if the manager had been willing to participate in the conversation about what policies (other than the posted ones) needed to be applied in order to keep from disturbing the neighbors. In general, faster communication by the property manager would likely have prevented the second event from happening. And definitely would have been helpful in informing us about the pet details that it took several months to receive. Ironically, the manager reviewed our communication as three star on VRBO. Ironically, because we instantly answered his only call, texted back within 1 minute on his text, and ensured that not a single complaint occurred after it was brought to our attention. And he, on the other hand, sat on complaints for at least a day before bringing them to our attention, and longer than that to bring to our attention that there had been an issue on the first night as well. And he failed to respond to a clear question included with the reservation for 4+ months. Delaying passing on to us the complaint about the first incident (which was completely our fault) gave us no opportunity to prevent further incidents. Which we clearly would have done since, as the manager verified, no further complaints were received after he finally communicated with us.

Great Family Home
5/5 stars
This is the second year that we have booked this house and it did not disappoint! Great time last year, even better this year. We have lots of kids and adults and the flow of the house is perfect. Spaces for hanging out together and for tucking little one in for a nap. The neighborhood is clean, people friendly and the walk to the beach is a great adventure-just the right distance. Three or so blocks in the opposite direction is an amazing park and turtle pond! We feel lucky to have found such a comfortable home that really suits all our needs

Outstanding Property
5/5 stars
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 216 New Castle Street, Rehoboth, Delaware. The house is beautiful and very well equipped for all of our beach needs. There is plenty of space and comfortable beds. The garden and bbq equipment were very much enjoyed by my guests. The parking availability was terrific. It is well located in relation to the beach, local shops and the boardwalk. I highly recommend this property.

Rehoboth Review
5/5 stars
Our first time to Rehoboth for a large family reunion. Rehoboth was a lot of fun, our accommodations were perfect for our family. The house is located in a central area to everything and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the world go by. The bedrooms are somewhat spaced out to offer quiet and privacy to everyone. We cooked home each night and found the kitchen well stocked and roomy. Would definitely recommend the house and the area to anyone. Management company was very helpful whenever contacted. Perfect for our pets as well.

Rehobeth Stay
5/5 stars
Place was clean and spacious. There were enough bedrooms and beds for each family and their members. The fenced in backyard was perfect for the dog. It is not really 2 blocks to the Boardwalk, it is 2.75, closer to 3 blocks. That distance was OK for all but one of our party. At times we did have 4 cars, so the 2 driveway parking spots and the 2 on street permits were perfect. We even were able to park on the street close to the property. Property manager was quick to respond to questions. The rental came with some 'extras', most were for activities outside of Rehobeth, so we did not use any of them. As an example, unless we were going to Millville we would not drive there just to get one free Rita's ice.

Perfect house near the beach and town...
5/5 stars
Our family of 5 were very comfortable in this wonderful home. Well designed layout for a large family/guests. Short walks to both the beach and town made for an ideal location. Loved the backyard herb garden and comfy screened-in porch. We had a great stay in Rehoboth and will definitely plan a return trip.

Could not have been better
5/5 stars
Our family trip was perfect thanks in large measure to our accommodations. We were extremely lucky to have rented this great house to serve as our home-base for a week. The home worked so well for us! There was space for couples, individuals and kids. The house was clean and an easy, delightful walk to the beautiful beach. There are 15 of us in the family-ranging in ages from 1-70! This house provided us with excellent common space for all of us to gather, eat, laugh, play games and simply enjoy being together. It also had spaces that were adaptable for kids needing naps, adults needing to check into work or anyone needing some privacy. The kitchen allowed chefs to prepare meals, while still being part of the family conversation. Even the outside areas were lovely-the back, quiet and more private, the front a playground for 6 kids, parents, grandparents and neighbors walking by. The house was close to a great park and easy walk to the main areas of Rehoboth Beach. It was everything we hoped for!

great stay
5/5 stars
My family stayed in Rehoboth beach for a week in July. We had fifteen people aged 12 to 86 and 2 dogs, everyone really enjoyed our stay including my dogs . The House was clean and the kitchen was well supplied . The fenced yard was a plus for the dogs . We usually rent every year and this house was the best we have rented in several years

Quiet Convenience
5/5 stars
House was great for 5 adults and 7 kids age 7 - 15. Everyone had a bed. Great front porch and great, private backyard. Very quiet neighborhood, very little traffic about 3 blocks from the beach. About the same distance to Rehoboth Ave and Dogfish Head. It was unanimously a place we’d consider going back to.

Perfect Location
5/5 stars
Location was within walking distance to everything. House fit our large family and fenced back yard was perfect for the dog and little kids. Our host even let us in early via a quick call and a text with an ecode.

Spacious, clean, conveniently located beach home
5/5 stars
We were extremely pleased with this home. It was perfect for our family, and an easy walk to the beach. The house was clean, well maintained, with plenty of space. Even the futon in the den was comfortable! I love to cook and the kitchen was well appointed with what I needed. 4 bathrooms made it great for a larger group. The back patio and yard was well designed and comfortable. We loved that they had board games and books, which we may have used if it were a longer trip. The host/manager was responsive and helpful. It wasn’t cold enough for us to use but the gas fireplace is a great feature as well.

Great place to stay!
5/5 stars
My family and I just return from a week long stay at this property. We had 6 adults and 2 small children and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was very clean when we arrived and there was plenty of dishes/ silverware/ pots/pan for our every day needs. The location is walking distance to both Rehoboth ave and the beach/boardwalk. If you are traveling with kids, there is a park less then a block away, that my kids really enjoyed. This is a great rental Property and we hope to stay there again next year.

Excellent Stay!

Loved 216 New Castle St! Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and living space to accommodate a large group. Walking distance to town and the beach! Did not have to move the car all week. Couldn’t ask for a better place and location!

Very nice

The house was perfect for our family. The layout was very welcoming, and we loved the screened in patio. Jeremy did a great job with communicating to us and preparing us for our stay.

Disappointments
3/5 stars
The handles on the patio doors were missing or weren’t working. The patio doors In the master suite didnt open at all which defeats the purpose of advertising them with the master. Also! The bed in the master suite was horrible. There’s a deep box spring then on top a 2” memory foam mattress. We brought queen sheets and they wouldn’t stay on the bed. It was too deep. The grill outside hadnt been cleaned in awhile and caught fire when we cooked hamburgers and hot dogs. They all burned. When cleaning up to go we were curious as to why we had to put the quilts back on the beds the way we found them because the info said totally sanitized. It freaked us out to think the last people that slept in the beds were the ones that made them. There was a lock on the pantry door in the kitchen. We were unaware of the lock and some one locked it. The property manager had to hire a locksmith to come open it. We put masking tape on it to keep it from locking again

Nice house and location
4/5 stars
Nice house and property. Nice location with a reasonably short walk to the beach. Parking is convenient. Back yard set up is nice. You may want to invest in better outdoor chairs. Plumbing/Water Temperature needs some work. Inside back door handle fell off. Outside shower should be more private. Overall, this is a nice place where we would go again.

Actual home is better than the pictures
5/5 stars
We had 6 people stay for a family vacation and it was a great time. The house looked better than the pictures showed, and it was extremely comfortable and spacious. Unlike some of the newer built homes that have card board thin walls and floors, this house has good bones. It is well insulated and there is plenty of privacy. The location to the beach and downtown also can’t be beat.
- Justin
Wonderful!
5/5 stars
This was our second time staying at this house. It's wonderful. Great location; walking distance to town and perfect for any walkers or runners! Open floor plan is perfect. They fenced in the backyard since our last stay which was the BEST UPGRADE EVER! We hope to go back again in the fall!
- Abby

Great vacation spot
5/5 stars
Our rental house was exactly as described. We were a family of 10 and had plenty of space throughout. Location was great! 3 blocks from beach and a few blocks from the Avenue. Walking distance to everything. House was clean and orderly just as expected. Pretty back yard patio and very comfy screened in back porch.

Lots of space and well provisioned
5/5 stars
This large house had plenty of room for our extended family, and the layout of bedrooms was such that all had comfort and privacy at night. With one bedroom and a futon downstairs, the layout also assured us that the elders in our family didn't have to climb the stairs. The common space (kitchen, dining room, living room) is open plan and spacious, allowing for talking, fun, games and interacting for all. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishware, cookware and the smaller items (coffee grinders and presses for example) that often are not found in vacation rentals. There was a nice supply of books and games, as well. The parking passes, beach cart and cooking grills were an added bonus. The location is very convenient to the beach, boardwalk and downtown Rehoboth Beach with its wide array of shops and restaurants. The house was clean and the labels throughout with instructions for how to operate accessories and lights were very much appreciated. There were a few maintenance and household upkeep items that, while not serious, could easily have been addressed at some point before or during the vacation season to make this an exemplary property. For example, one door to an upstairs balcony didn't open; one bathroom towel rack was missing; fresh paint was needed in some outdoor places. But these were minor and didn't detract from the overall fine experience. Finally, Jeremy, our property management contact, was extremely helpful before, during and after our visit. Kudos to him for his help and assistance throughout.

216 New Castle House
4/5 stars
Everything was great and what we expected. The house was large enough for all of us including some quality quiet time for each family member. The only significant issue was the smoke alarms were beeping inconsistently on 3 of the 7 nights, there by waking up nearly all persons throughout those 3 nights that slept upstairs. Thankfully, Samantha Catts was available to come to our aid.

Great Home
5/5 stars
The house is great, 2 blocks to the beach. Large enough for our family. Very clean interior. Kitchen is well equipped. Front door was tricky to keep it closed without the lock on; only 5 tv channels was a disappointment for the guys and little ones. Jeremy tried to resolve it but could not.

Lovely home!
5/5 stars
This is a huge house, so well laid out, that we had plenty of room for the little kids to play and run, even on a rainy day! The rooms are quiet , at the same time, so rest came easily. It was off season, so it was quiet everywhere, a nice break form Washington, DC, hub-bub.

216 New Castle; Rehoboth Beach DE
5/5 stars
This was a great house that met all of our needs. The open floor plan was great. There were also two other "family type" rooms (in addition to a large family room on the first floor) allowed for us all to spread out a bit.....important with 11 family members aging from 6 months to 70! Plenty of bedrooms and baths. We couldn't take advantage of the balconies or porches, because of the chillier weather in November, but they looked like lovely spots to enjoy as well. Plus, we greatly appreciated that Jeremy accepted dogs. The kitchen was very well equipped, which was a pleasure since we had most meals at home. We've rented homes in the past, where this has been an issue. The house is well located about three blocks from the ocean and boardwalk (10 minute walk) and about four blocks from the main street. Jeremy was very responsive when we had questions. We had a great time.

Fabulous Property

This house met our every need. The kitchen was well equipped as advertised and there were quiet rooms although the futon room was a bit noisy for our group with people coming and going at different times. Lots of family space to visit and a great backyard.

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because there were a few housekeeping things that were overlooked. If you want more details please contact me. The house is great for our family yearly beach week. Very well appointed. The pictures online do not show the homes spaciousness. The kitchen has everything you can possibly need.

Our stay in Rehoboth Beach was wonderful! The house completely satisfied our needs, plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for all the girls! The kitchen was great, we were able to make a couple different meals- plenty of pots/pans/utensils. Thanks for letting us use your beautiful home!

Great house!
5/5 stars
We were a group of 6 couples. This house was wonderful. There were plenty of spaces for us to gather as a group or get away for a little quiet. The house is located very close to the neighboring houses, so quiet hours need to be taken seriously. The only criticism I have is that the pictures don't really do the property justice. We would love to return!
