Wine Country Cottage

Wine Country Cottage, Pet Friendly, Nestled in Trees Near Vineyard With Fire-Pit & Cozy Wooded Patio

2 BR
1 Bath
Sleeps 5

This beautiful wine cottage is nestled in the heart of wine country in the Willamette Valley. It sits just off Stoller road, moments away from Stoller Vineyard. Just beyond are many renowned vineyards such as Domaine Serene, Domaine Droughin, White Rose Estate, and Sokol Blosser. One of my favorites is Soter Vineyard. You will need to call for reservations but it is absolutely special in quality and setting and I can't say enough good things. Treat yourselves to a provisional tasting if you get the chance! Sitting only 10 minutes to McMinnville, 7 minutes to Dundee, and 40 miles to Portland you can enjoy everything the region has to offer.

If you go to YouTube and search 'Wine Country Cottage' there is some drone footage of the outside of the cottage and surrounding area. I can't include a direct link since they are stripped out by the booking platform.

The cottage is almost always stocked with multiple complimentary or two for one tasting cards you can use at some of the regional vineyards. These are often changing so there is no guarantee exactly which ones we will have on hand at one time, but there will definitely be some! For example the most recent batch of tastings include Domaine Serene, Sokol Blosser, Stoller, Cougar Crest, Natalie's Vineyard, and Dobbes Tasting Room.

There are multiple wonderful restaurants and breweries a short drive away as well. The Painted Lady in Newberg has incredible food offerings and an exquisite wine list. It is one of the better fine dining establishments in the entire region.

The cottage has a full kitchen and comfortable living area that connects directly to a private back patio area with a full fire pit. There is nothing like sipping wine by the fire on a beautiful summer night in the Pacific Northwest. You can easily sleep four adults and a couple of kids. The spiral staircase is a bit steep so we recommend kids older than 8 years old to be safe.

There is a full private bedroom with queen bed on the main level, and another queen bed in the upstairs loft. There is also a sleeper sofa in another section of the loft. The living area has a new 4K HDTV, WiFi, and integrated streaming for Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos and most any other streaming option that you personally have access to.

Newberg, Dundee, and Lafayette have quite a few antique shops to peruse for your enjoyment. Don't forget to check the calendar in McMinnville as they often have quite a few events throughout the year to enjoy. The UFO Festival and the International Pinot Noir Festival are not to be missed! The cottage sits just off Stoller Road only moments from Highway 99, giving you easy access to one of the main thoroughfares in the region.

PET FRIENDLY: **There is a $100 pet fee per pet with a maximum of $300 (3 pets). Please be aware failure to adhere to the house rules as it pertains to pets may result in cancellation of the booking with no refund. **

Water is on a well, please note although safe it does have a bit of a "salty" taste. It is recommended to bring bottled water for drinking and cooking if preferred.

Garage parking is not available at this time.

Cozy Wine Cottage
5/5 stars
Great little place in the heart of the Willamette Valley; close to just about every winery you'd like to visit. It was nice to have the upstairs loft area but the spiral staircase is not for the faint of heart. The only other challenge was actually finding the unit. While the provided directions were detailed, they were not sufficient - especially in the dark. I'd suggest several additional signs actually on site (in addition to the one on Stoller Rd) that direct you around on the left side of the large metal building.

Wine Tasting Weekend

The cottage was delightful. It was clean and comfortable. We truly loved the fire roaring in the fireplace. It was nice to show up with a bottle of wine waiting for us. If you are looking for a lovely, quaint place to stay, this is it.

Cozy Wine Country Cottage
5/5 stars
We spent two nights here for my birthday. The cottage is really cute and comfortable. The grill was easy to access. The kitchen is not well equipped for any cooking over basic meals; however, location to wineries and restaurants in Dundee is fantastic. It’s pretty close to the road and surrounded by other houses so not super private, but it’s nice and quiet inside. Overall it’s a lovely little house in a good location. We look forward to staying again.

The cottage was very conveniently located in wine country and had all the accommodations we could ask for. The team was helpful when we ran out of items, and it was a pleasant stay. We’ll stay again no doubt!

Location Cant be beat!
5/5 stars
We had a great time at the Wine Country Cottage! it is very well equipped with everything you need- we really enjoyed the outdooor space as did our dogs! So close to so many wineries, if that is why you come here ( we did ) and its an easy drive to McMinneville, Carlton, Dundee and Newberg . It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Had some highway noise when you were outside but none inside- slept very well ! Had an AC unit that we used briefly and cdeiling fans otherwise did the job. Would definialty go back ! Oh, great communication from management as well! The upstairs would not work for anything with mobility issues .

5/5 stars
My husband and I enjoyed staying at this rental. Property was very clean. Nicely decorated accommodations. Great to stay so close to Stoller Vineyards- about an 8 minute walk. Enjoyed short drives to McMinnville, Newburg and Dundee. Dined at great restaurants in all these places. Especially enjoyed our visit to Elk Cove Vineyards. We had a great stay!

Wine Country
2/5 stars
Tried to get batteries for a remote, asked about different pillows and firewood and got no response on Thursday or Friday. The kitchen could use some bigger pots and pans and a cookie sheet would be nice. I would like to say though that the place was clean and we thought the bottle of wine was a great touch. We actually went to Stoller Winery for a tasting on Friday and had a great time. They make some fabulous wine. I gave a rating of 2 stars strictly because of the lack of response.
- Doug

Doug, I am so sorry to hear that you tried to reach out to us and feel that you did not get a response. We do not have any messages from you by text, voicemail, or through the platform you booked. We do send multiple emails ahead of your stay that you could reply to or our phone number is on all communication, guest book, welcome sign, etc. that you could text or call as well. I am not sure how you reached out, but we always try and respond within 10-15 minutes. Our phone service is 24/7. I am sorry this is the only reason you gave it a 2 star review. We would love to have you stay at our property again and are happy to hear that you loved it!

Lovely cozy cottage

We really enjoyed our time here - so much we stayed an extra day. This was perfectly located - walking distance from a lovely winery, and nicely tucked away from the main roads. I hope to come back on a warmer trip to enjoy the yard, fire pit and bbq grill.

Great stay
5/5 stars
I had a wonderful stay at the Wine Cottage in Dayton, OR. The property was clean and very organized when I arrived. Having the large backyard was a big help with my dogs. They had lots of space to roam around. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was plenty of towels. My only suggestion would be to stock the kitchen with some additional pots and pans. I enjoy cooking and the pots, pans, and lids were mismatched so I had to get a little creative. Big thanks to Corey with iTrip for answering all my questions. Thank you! Email: [email protected]

Wine Country Refuge
5/5 stars
Our stay at the Wine Country Cottage was delightful. It is nestled under trees, with a patio and barbecue, a fire pit and a decor that is in keeping with the area. It is close to Stoller Winery, Lafayette and McMinnville. We relaxed and enjoyed the beauty of ancient trees, flowering bushes and the twitter of local birds. It was a respite for us, from our daily lives, and an opportunity to just relax. We liked it so much, we did not go to the wine run, but rather walked through both towns, had late lunch and then returned to the cottage to barbecue and solve world problems :D Highly recommend the cottage, price, style, clean, cozy, a refuge from the busyness of life in the city.

Absolutely LOVED this cottage. Definitely lived up to the description. The cottage was clean and just as pretty as the pictures. :) Loved the location as well. We were there for a wedding and it really made our stay extra special. Want to thank Corey for his hospitality and helping make our stay awesome. Not only was the house stocked with water, coffee and other amenities - there was even a bottle of wine waiting for us. Big high 5. My husband and I want to come back to just explore and visit and I would definitely choose this cottage and hope it;s available when we return.

Quiet Getaway for a weekend
5/5 stars
We had a lovely time at the cottage in January 2019. It was great for a friend and I to stay we each had our own space, between the loft bedroom and the one downstairs. The owners had provided bottled water and the kitchen basics, as well as some complementary wine tasting cards for us as some local vineyards. Although the house was a bit cool due to winter, between the heaters, extra blankets and fireplace we were able to stay warm. I'm sure in summer with the firepit and outdoor space it would be even better. It was a great location for our wine tasting adventures and just being able to chill out and enjoy quiet disconnected time, though there is internet and entertainment in house if you need it.

The cabin was in a perfect location. The kitchen was nicely stocked and the place was clean. However, when we got there the heat was not on and it was 40 degrees. The small heater downstairs was not enough. The firewood was too big for a fire so we had to buy firewood at the local market. The lighting was too dim.It would be fine in the summer but not in the winter.

What a cute little cottage! Just perfect for our visit...we were participating in the Joyride cycle event and it was the perfect location for us! We dubbed it the Gnome cottage - just precious! The yard was so cute too! Our only suggestion is add a hottub! We would have so loved & used it after biking... we did get a good laugh at the hottub in the woods!! Thanks for a great stay!
